Tension, 1998

Screen-print on linen

The large scale print of a shirt with the buttons stretched to bursting point was inspired by the word ‘tension’.
A stripe of text behind the image describes the constraints of certain fashions and fastening.           

Awarded the N.S. MacFarlane Charitable Trust Award at the Royal Glasgow Institute in 1998.
