Armour Boys and Lost Children

In August 2006 I ran a workshop, with artist Clare Waddle, for children from Preston Street Primary School.

The day began with an exploration through drawing and text of Laura Ford’s exhibition Armour Boys in the Royal Scottish Academy and Lost Children in Edinburgh’s Museum of Childhood. This was followed by an afternoon making plaster casts of toy soldiers in the school.

The handmade books of drawings and written ideas, alongside an installation of a slumped body made up of the soldier casts were exhibited in the Royal Scottish Academy.
