It really doesn’t make any difference to me if I’m creating a website for a client in Edinburgh or a client in the Highlands of Scotland, the Dordogne valley in France or Golden Bay in New Zealand! As long as you have a web connection we have the World Wide Web through which to communicate either by email or Skype…or a bit of both.

Some people think that once they have found a web designer and agreed on a price, they can just sit back and watch the magic happen…not the case I’m afraid. In order to make a website that works for you and is to your taste, there needs to be a fair bit of back and forth discussion about what you want and tweaking to ensure that I’m achieving that. I also need all words and pictures provided by you so I have something to put into your site before it goes live. If we were to have a face-to-face meeting for each of these discussions I would spend the majority of my time and fee on fuel!

It may be a teeny wee bit easier to do the final training session sitting next to each other, so that you can manage your website into the future, however, with the thorough Help Sheets I’ll provide, which will be specific to your site, plus a decent Skype training session this can be easily achieved and by the end of the session you will have managed some updates already by yourself on your own computer.

Ta Da!

Clients I have designed WordPress websites for remotely include: Tina Vanderwerf in Holland, Sonic Bothy in Glasgow and Fife Dunfermline Printmakers Workshop in Dunfermline. Next week I will be getting stuck into a site for new design business Yellow Broom who are based in the Highlands of Scotland and am also just discussing new websites for a lovely Canadian lady who does sports massage in southern Alberta, and a French man who runs Qi Gong workshops and has a Chambres d’hôtes near Agen in Southwest France.

SO, if you like my style of web design, which clients have described as clean, contemporary and image driven, and you want to have a chat about getting me to design a site for you and teach you how to update it, no matter where you live, please do get in touch.
