For Christine Sloman, simplicity was key!

Christine Sloman creates etchings and monotype prints, some of which she transforms into beautiful handbound books.

Drawing inspiration from the ephemeral, the delicate, the decaying or the way light changes on moving water, she describes her work as being about ‘atmosphere and experience rather than literal representation‘.

Through her website design I aimed to find the best way to present these works sensitively, cleanly, without fuss, without animation, without the use of any additional shadows or colours.

I hope that you agree that Christine Sloman’s works stands up for themself at christinesloman.com

Working with Julia was a pleasure, and the whole process was smooth and straightforward. Julia listened to me patiently – even when I was being vague or indecisive – and built me a site which reflects my art practice beautifully.

I am so happy with my new website. It’s just what I wanted and more.
